Nestled along the shores of Lake Xolotlán, Villa Guadalupe is home to over 5,200 people, a community nearly the size of a small American town. This neighborhood, located near Managua’s largest landfill, La Chureca, is a place where families face extreme poverty and daily hardships. Yet, amid these challenges, there is hope.

Because of our compassionate donors, the Villa Guadalupe Clinic is now open Monday through Friday, providing free healthcare to families in dire need. This expansion means that more children, mothers, and entire families can receive essential medical care, consultations, and medicines at no cost.

Accessible Healthcare for All
Dr. Fanor Avendaño, AMOS Clinics Coordinator, shares the impact of this milestone:
“At the Villa Guadalupe Clinic, we are committed to providing comprehensive and accessible care. With our new Monday-to-Friday schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, we aim to serve 192 additional patients each month. We continue strengthening prevention programs, including cervical cancer screenings and child growth monitoring, while also advancing initiatives like our upcoming oral health campaign.”
Families who once had little or no access to healthcare now receive the medical attention they deserve. The clinic provides a safe space for individuals to take charge of their health, ensuring that children grow strong and that mothers receive the care they need to thrive.

A Collaborative Approach to Health
At AMOS Health and Hope, we believe in working with the people of Villa Guadalupe, not just for them. Our approach ensures that local families are active participants in shaping their healthcare, making sustainable changes that will impact future generations.
Whether you are a resident of Villa Guadalupe, a healthcare professional, or someone interested in learning more about our work, we welcome you to join us in creating a healthier future for all.
